The event is part of Alibaba Cloud\u2019s broader initiative to support startups and accelerate digital transformation across Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The finalists, selected from a competitive pool of applicants, represented a range of industries, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence. The ecosystem consistently produces resilient founders\u2014a quality that has become more crucial than ever,\u201d said Ng of Artem Ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ng also highlighted the game changing potential of AI adoption, particularly with low-code and no-code development powered by generative AI. \u201cThis shift will accelerate product development and innovation, positioning Malaysian startups for greater regional and global competitiveness,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Startups that pitched<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The event featured the following nine startups, in no particular order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speechful.ai\/\"><strong>Edvent AI<\/strong><\/a>, an online language learning platform specializing in English speaking and standardized exam preparation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>FixApa<\/strong>, the developer of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lapaq.app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LaPaQ<\/a>, a data monitoring system for tackling child malnutrition and stunting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flowstudios.com.my\/\"><strong>Flow Studios<\/strong><\/a>, an AI-of-things (AIoT) company focusing on smart agriculture for sustainable food security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.minimo.tech\/\"><strong>Minimo Tech<\/strong><\/a>, the creator of Minimo AI, an omnichannel customer service platform offering real-time translation, voice cloning, and automation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/paix.bot\/\"><strong>Paix Tech<\/strong><\/a>, a fintech startup using AI agents and hyperautomation to automate high-volume utility bills and supplier payments, reducing manual processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/shieldbase.ai\/\"><strong>Shieldbase AI<\/strong><\/a>, the provider of an AI-powered operating system for privacy-first enterprise knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, and content generation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/voiceforhealth.ai\/\"><strong>Voice For Health<\/strong><\/a>, an AI-powered vocal biomarker service detecting early signs of emotions linked to chronic diseases through voice analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vstreamrevo.com\/\"><strong>Vstream Revolution<\/strong><\/a>, a tech startup offering drone insurance, consultancy services, certified training, and permit applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/xtractify.ai\/\"><strong>Xtractify<\/strong><\/a>, a developer of AI engines for business process automation and BI analytics, streamlining operations, compliance, and decision-making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The award winners<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After an exciting showcase by the startup finalists, Paix was crowned the winner, while Shieldbase and Vstream were named runner-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/vstreamrevo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-2-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vstreamrevo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-2-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/vstreamrevo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-2-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/vstreamrevo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-2-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/vstreamrevo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-2.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo of Soalen Sittampalam, lead venture architect at 1337 Ventures, speaking at the Alibaba Cloud Malaysia Demo Day held on February 27. Photo courtesy of Alibaba Cloud.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat stood out to me about Paix is that [the presenter] has clearly defined the boundary of the problem or process he is solving for, and he has done it effectively and achieved solid traction,\u201d said Sittampalam of 1337 Ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShieldbase is an ambitious application, and my primary concern would be data privacy within organizations.
